VEP measures a patient's eye-brain response time. When the eyes are subjected to aesthetic stimuli, the optic nerve at the rear of the eye delivers the message to the visual cortex to process that details in the mind. This takes place at a remarkably quick speed, nearly instantaneously. It is so quickly, that we at http://encipecom.metodista.br/mediawiki/index.php/New_Early_Diagnosis_Device:_VEP, really feel as though there is no delay-- we see something promptly.
